Obituary
Jeremy "Jamie" Kurtz, 58 of Canal Fulton, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023. Born May 5, 1964 to the late James and Sally (Schroeder) Kurtz, he was a Canal Fulton resident most of his life and a 1982 graduate of Northwest High School. After high school he earned his Bachelors degree from Capital University followed by two Masters degrees. Jamie was a gifted instructor at both the high school and collegiate level which brought him and his students great joy. A lover of magic from an early age, he developed deep friendships that filled his heart with love and laughter.
Jamie is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Debbie; daughters, Madelyne (Brian) Coughlin and Emma (Michael Zerby); grandson, Aidan; brothers, Bradley (Janet) of Marshallville, Jonathan (Christy) of Centerville and Andrew (Michele) of Huron; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends, Nick, Mike, Mark and Paul.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mercy Cleveland Clinic ICU for their untiring care and compassion during this difficult time.
A Memorial Service will be held FRIDAY, May 5, 2023, 11:00am at St. John Lutheran Church, 336 Market St. W. Calling hours Thursday, May 4, 2023, 5pm to 7pm at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. E. (Rt. 93) Canal Fulton. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the American Heart Association.
