Jeremy Glenn Pellenz, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on September 22, 2025 in Cheboygan, Michigan.

Jeremy was born on April 14, 1975 to Glenn Arthur and Jean Ann (Ballard) Pellenz at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital.

He was a 1993 graduate of Cheboygan High School. After graduation he worked as a certified marine and snowmobile mechanic at Shelper's Marina and then Burt Lake Marina. He also loved working and helping his step-dad Bob planting, maintaining, harvesting, and then selling Christmas trees at his business, Bob's Christmas Trees in Boynton Beach, Florida, where he spent many seasons at a young age into adulthood. Jeremy also owned and operated his own distribution company selling baked goods for Bimbo Bakeries all over the Eastern Upper Peninsula, and tip of the mit. It would make his day to show all the kids his trailer and let them pick a box of donuts just for them. He then moved on to construction, building and repairing homes on his own and also with local contractors, Dave Kujawa, Mic Wirgau, and Todd Charboneau. Jeremy was a jack of all trades, construction and mechanic was his passion. He took pride in his projects from start to finish. He finished his own family home and also built his father-in-law a home on his property from the ground up.

Jeremy met and married the love of his life, his best friend, his better half, Bridget Baldwin in 1998 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cheboygan. They have two sons, his proudest joys, Glenn Arthur-aka Mister in 2003 and Kaden Emmett aka Sir in 2010. They made their home in Cheboygan, Michigan. He took so much pride in showing his boys how to work on their own vehicles, between cars, dirt bikes, motorcycles, 4-wheelers,snowmobiles, and bump and run cars. He loved watching his boys play their favorite sport, hockey. You could always find him in the stands with his iconic fur hat and loud voice yelling GO MISTER (Glenn) or GO SIR (Kaden) and loved chatting with fellow hockey families. Besides his family his other joy and passion in life was hosting the annual Pellenz Palooza in September. It started in 2011 after one of his sisters asked him to use the property for her outdoor wedding. We recall him saying "We should do this every year" and it stuck. Every year thereafter after Labor Day Jeremy would start building his epic bonfire which started out from 20 feet tall to his record this year of over 50 feet tall. Every year the party grew to over hundreds of his friends and family coming out the see Jeremy and his bonfire. He loved going around and talking to everyone, always with the biggest smile on his face and a Budweiser in hand. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Moose Lodge in Cheboygan.

Jeremy is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years Bridget Pellenz, his two sons Glenn Arthur (Hannah Bondy) and Kaden Emmett, his mother Jean Ann Pellenz-Pilon, step-dad Robert Pilon, his three sisters, Christie (AJ) Grimaudo, Tamara (Dennis) Oikarinen, Dawn (Kevin) Santer, his brother-in-law Todd (Donna) Baldwin, many aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Glenn Arthur Pellenz, grandparents Tom and Betty Ballard, Charles and Nadine Pellenz, and Tom and Kahren Pilon, his father-in-law and mother-in-law James and Sherry Baldwin and sister-in-law Gina Golec.

We will always remember Jeremy for his quick wit, tell it like it is, no sugar coating personality. He was the type of man to give you his shirt off his back (and we literally saw that a few times) and help anyone anytime. His loud voice that you know was him even before you saw his face, His larger than life laugh and smile and his eagerness to talk to everyone even if he was on a time crunch. He will be missed tremendously.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 27th from 2pm to 6pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles banquet hall in Cheboygan, Michigan, Following the celebration of life the family and friends will be lighting his epic bonfire at his residence to send him off in style the way he would of wanted. All are welcome.
