Jeremy Stephen Saunders Sr. left this physical world on December 28 in Birmingham, Alabama. He was
born March 29, 1971, in Phoenix. Thanks to a double organ transplant, due to childhood diabetes, he
was able to have an extended life. After graduating from Hixson HS in 1989 and attending Chattanooga State College, he worked in
television as a master controller at the local public broadcast station and operated morning show
cameras for WDEF (12). He took the videography on the road while supporting some Christian music
entertainers. With the help of the local IBEW, he trained and achieved master electrician status. Those
skills were used in residential and industrial applications. Jeremy (Ld. Blindi Thorbjorn) was an avid participant in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). He was a spirited fighter and master artisan. While attending their events, he taught classes alongside his
wife, Heather, and earned various certificates and titles. He is survived by his loving wife, Heather and his grown child, Jay Saunders of Mobile, his parents, Mary and Stephen Saunders of Lakesite, TN, his sisters, Erica (Jerry) Evans of Chattanooga and Elizabeth (Kelly)
Reed of Soddy Daisy, TN, his cousins Kate Reed and Gerek Evans, along with many uncles, aunts and
cousins. The family would like to thank the kindness shown to them by the Legacy of Hope organization in
Birmingham, where the transplants took place and Cremation Center of Birmingham for their kindness.
A celebration of life will be planned and announced in the near future.
