Mr. Jeremy Matthew Whisnant

Mr. Jeremy Matthew Whisnant, 39, of Connelly Springs passed away unexpectedly , Saturday September 5, 2015. Jeremy was born February 23, 1976 in Burke County. Jeremy simply loved life. He was a loving husband and father who was always loyal to his family. He has touched the lives of many children through coaching and volunteering over the years. He also loved riding dirt bikes, sports, competition, fajita night, and chocolate ice cream; but first and foremost he enjoyed spending time with his family. Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandmother Jan "Mawmaw" Whisnant; aunt, Cathy Whisnant; and grandfather, Norris Avant. Survivors include his wife Jennifer Whisnant ; son, Matthew Whisnant; and daughter, Brooke Whisnant all of the home; grandfather, Jay "Pawpaw" Calloway; father, Randy Whisnant; mother, Vickie West; brother, Travis Whisnant; sisters Erica Carson, Jenny Cline, and Christy Brown; mother -in-law Teresa Wyatt; father-in-law, David Wyatt; sister-in-law, Cindy Becton and husband Billy; aunt Jenny Bolick; and uncle, Rick Whisnant. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A celebration of life will be held 7:00 PM Thursday September 10, 2015 at East Burke High School Football Stadium. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Mathew and Brooke Whisnant's college fund at 2022 Wortman St. Connelly Springs, NC 28612.
