Jeri Lynn Corn, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 29, 2025, at her home in Keshena. Jeri was born in Shawano on April 17, 1965. She was the daughter of Lowell "Chopper" Waupoose and the late Janet (Corn) Waupoose. She graduated from Inter Mountain Indian Boarding School in Utah. In Jeri's free time, she enjoyed drinking her coffee, gambling and spending time with family and friends. She lived a traditional life and loved cultural activities. She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
Jeri is survived by: her children, Derrick Corn, Ashley Sanapaw, Roberta (John) Sanapaw-Tepiew, Louis "Sonny" Sanapaw and Mahkanit Sanapaw; her other children, Brooke Sanapaw, Whitney Sanapaw, Joseph Sanapaw, and Jessie Waukau; grandchildren, Aleaha, Brian, Brianna, Alex, Arayha, Darius, Hazel, John, Eva, Neil, Bella, Josephina, Joseph, Kayleb, Kaylee, Kyrie, Storm, Journey and Bella; her 18 other grandchildren; her father, Chopper Waupoose; and siblings, Michelle Peters, Robert Corn, Christie St. Peter, Janilla Dick, Jeanette Dick, Timothy Dick, Sr., Macie Hayes and Richard "Bogue" Dickie. She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, including Alysse Corn and Jered Corn, as well as other relatives and friends.
Jeri is preceded in death by her significant other, Joseph "Lil Joe" Sanapaw, Jr.; her mother, Janet; stepson, Bobby-Joe Sanapaw; a brother, Theodore, in infancy; and a sister, LeeAnne Corn.
A traditional service for Jeri will be held at the South Branch Community Center starting on Saturday May 3, 2025, at 2:00 pm and continuing until Monday May 5, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
