Jerilyn Canfield Obituary

JERILYN MARIE CANFIELD
April 24, 1954 ˜ August 23, 2025

Jerilyn Marie Canfield (Jeri) passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2025, surrounded by her husband Blaine, her son Evan and her daughter Elyse. She was born April 24, 1954, in Huntington Park, California, to Richard and Janice Jones. Jeri was a loving, caring soul who always put others before herself. She and Blaine loved to travel and were often accompanied by friends and family. Jeri worked at United Airlines for 30+ years before retiring in 2010. She had too much energy to fully retire, so she spent the next six years working as a registration representative for Kaiser Permanente. Upon the birth of her first grandchild, she decided to finally retire. For the next nine years she volunteered her time at Firstenburg Community Center, and later at Legacy Salmon Creek. She loved the idea of helping people, and her smile and enthusiasm were infectious. She leaves behind her husband Blaine, son Evan (Jessica), grandchildren Jude, Lila, and Fiona, daughter Elyse Schaefer (Marshal), and niece Lola Ornellas. She is also survived by her brother Robert Jones (Sebastian), Uncle Jon Jones and Aunt Linda Jones, and cousins Mike (Hannah) and Robert Mancini (daughters Lia and Livia) of Idaho. Although she is no longer in the physical world, her spirit and that beautiful smile will be with us forever. A celebration of life will be held later this year.

Our dear Jeri! Such a wonderful, kind, thoughtful person. You made our trip together to Europe such a memorable experience. Had we known you were only going to survive one more year to the day, we would have stayed in Switzerland forever. This was a hard year for you and you handled it with such grace, dignity and poise. Goodbye our dear friend!! Gone but not never forgotten.

Jeri was such a wonderful sister in law/friend! She was always warm and welcoming as well as fun! So many precious memories come to mind! One of my favorites is when the whole family went to Washington for Christmas! We experienced snow, made a snowman, went to an escape room, went bowling and played Balderdash!! So much fun with the family!Balderdash is a memory that still makes me laugh! Jeri will be greatly missed but will forever be in our hearts!! Love you Jeri!
