Jerilyn "Jeri" Smith Simon of Atlanta peacefully passed away on the morning of Friday, June 21st at 93 years old. She was able to celebrate her 93rd birthday a few weeks prior with family and friends. Jeri is survived by her sons Harris (Pam), Charles, Jr. (Randy), and Bill; granddaughters Lauren, Brenna, Kendal, and Ally; brother Alan (Barbara); nephews Greg & Scott; and niece Amy. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles "Charley" H. Simon, Sr., and her parents, Dr. Simon H. and Dora R. Smith.
Jeri was born and grew-up in Atlanta. She attended Druid Hills High School, and she developed a love for music very young and played the piano throughout her life. She had a love for the classics as well as New Orleans jazz music.
She bequeathed her body to the Emory University School of Medicine Body Donor Program. At this time, there is no memorial service planned.
