Christina Ann Simon, sweet daughter of God, passed away Friday July 11, 2025 at her home in Lehi, Utah from complications of diabetes. She was 52 years old. She went by the name of Chrissy to all who knew her. Chrissy was born on March 29, 1973 in Murray, Utah to her parents Richard Ernest and Judy Kay McPheeters Simon. She was the second child of 8 children and had 7 brothers: Rich, Brent, Jared, Jason, Brady, Darrin and Wesley.
Chrissy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had a simple but unwavering testimony and enduring faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. As a young woman she received her Young Woman medallion. Achieving this award took a lot of goal setting and hard work on her part. She also took four years of Seminary and graduated from the program. Chrissy graduated from West Jordan High School in 1991. After high school, she trained to be a nurse assistant and was certified in 1992. She loved helping people. She worked in a nursing home for a period of time, but found it to be too difficult considering the limitations of her body to make it a career. She then decided to pursue her love for children and worked in a daycare until she was called to be a church service missionary serving in the family history library in downtown Salt Lake for 18 months. Chrissy loved serving in that capacity and extended her mission for another 6 months. Afterwards she found employment working at Data Image where she prepared documents to be digitized. She worked there for 10 years. Later, Chrissy found work for a non-profit organization serving the needs of refugees and the poor. She also worked in the office doing data entry. She loved helping with the needs of the less fortunate.
Chrissy is survived by her parents Richard and Judy Simon and her brothers and their wives: Rich (Dani) Simon of Draper, Utah, Brent (Kat) Simon of Eagle Mountain, Utah, Jared (Tamara) Simon of Jameson, Missouri, Jason (Patti) Simon of Cowgill, Missouri, Brady (Christie) Simon of Lehi, Utah, Darrin (Trisha) Simon of Bluffdale, Utah, and Wesley (Jenica) Simon of Lehi, Utah. She has 17 nephews and 11 nieces who she loved and adored.
She was preceded in death by Ruth and Harry McPheeters, grandparents, Richard and Margaret Simon, grandparents, Aunt Kay Pressler, and Uncle Jerry McPheeters.
Chrissy's sweet loving nature, and faith-filled life will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
