Jerilyn Walker
Jerilyn Jane Walker, aged 83, of Midland, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Bickford Assisted Living in Midland. Born on December 16, 1941, in Midland, Jerilyn was the cherished daughter of the late Clarence and Beulah (Synder) Huntley. A proud graduate of Midland High School in 1960, she embarked on a fulfilling career at Dow Chemical as a transportation clerk before dedicating her life to the joys of homemaking.
On her birthday in 1972, Jerilyn united in marriage with her beloved husband, Fredrick Walker, at the First Congregational Church of Saginaw. Together, they built a life filled with love. Jerilyn's zest for life was evident in her love for shopping, thrifting, and antiquing. She had an eye for treasures and found great joy in the hunt for vintage finds. A sports enthusiast, she reveled in the excitement of hockey games and was a proud season ticket holder to the Great Lakes Loons.
Christmas held a special place in Jerilyn's heart. She adored the holiday season and took great pleasure in collecting antique Christmas decorations. Her love for the festive season was infectious, making it a cherished time for family and friends alike. Jerilyn's simple pleasures included the enjoyment of a good Pepsi. Her generosity knew no bounds. She had a big heart and was always ready to lend a hand, touching the lives of many with her kindness.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Fredrick Walker, and her loving children, Laura (Tim) Warmbier, Wayne (Elizabeth "Buffy") Brabaw, and Jeff (Pam) Brabaw. Jerilyn's legacy will continue through her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored immensely. She also leaves behind her brother, Rod (Sue) Huntley, and many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jerilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Barbara Huntley, and her brother Grant Huntley.
Funeral services for Jerilyn will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home, 1200 West Wheeler St., with burial to follow in Midland Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the
