Jerlene Knott Stapler peacefully departed to be with Jesus in Glory on November 25, 2024.
Jerlene was a dedicated member of Shady Grove Baptist Church for 28 years. She retired from West Georgia National Bank after 27 years, starting as Head Bookkeeper before being promoted to Assistant Banking Officer.
She is survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Phillip & Lynn Stapler, Rodney & Melanie Stapler, and Scott Stapler; grandchildren, Rebecca Stapler Connor, Destiny Connor, Tyler Connor, Anthony Connor, Scarlet Connor; Stephen & Brianna Stapler, Kyle Stapler, and Sha Stapler; great-grandchildren, Chance Connor, Winona Connor, and Haley Stapler; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jerlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, A. G. Stapler; her son, Larry Douglas Stapler; her parents, Sanders and Sally Knott; her brother, Joe Knott; and sisters, Betty Knott, Louise Knott, and Virginia Dollar.
Jerlene was deeply loved by her sons. She was a loyal friend to many, and she will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held to honor Jerlene's life on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Mike Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Old Camp Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour on Saturday.
