Jerline Harp Glass, born on April 24, 1934, in Brownsville, Kentucky, passed away on December 26, 2025, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, Kentucky. She lived a life rich in love and dedication to her family and community, leaving behind cherished memories that will resonate for generations.
Her warm heart and vibrant spirit were evident not only in her family but also in her community. Before she fell ill, Jerline embraced a variety of interests and hobbies that enriched her life. She loved to sew, enjoyed camping, and found joy in canning vegetables and fruits from her garden. Most significantly, Jerline treasured the moments spent with her family and friends, weaving strong bonds that would last a lifetime.
Jerline was also known for her steadfast faith at Lick Branch Church, where she found a sense of community and spiritual fulfillment.
Jerline was a devoted mother to her children: Dianne Depp, Edward Glass (Tammy), Stevie Glass (Barbara), Donnie Glass (Debbie), Neda Young, Randy Glass, and Gaye Jones (Ricky). She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to her numerous grandchildren, including Casey Freas (Joe), Betsy Allara (Shane), Brian Depp (Savannah), Matthew Glass (Abby), Jessie Parke (Garren), Bradley Glass (Donna Jo), Andrea Pierce (Dakota), Brandi Glass (Jack), Brandon Glass (MiKayla), Daniel Young (Sarah), Christy Thomason (Marty), Aaron Young, Candice Shaw (Justin), Bethany Flickinger (Nick), Jessica Glass (Kenny), Jordan York, and Evan York. Her legacy extends further with 26 great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored and cherished. She is also survived by her loving sister, Barbara Smith (Larry).
She was preceded in death by her siblings Jessie Harp, Travis Harp, Mearle Harp, Juanita Emmitt, Verneda Cook, and Bernice Reece, as well as her beloved son-in-law Doug Depp. The loss of these family members left an indelible mark on her life, yet she continued to embody strength and love for those who remained.
Funeral services for Mrs. Glass will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. The visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, December 29, 2025, and Tuesday morning until time for the service.
