Jerome "Bud" Howard, Jr., 87, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at home in Virginia with his family by his side. He was the husband of Karen J. (Dudley) Howard of Chesapeake, VA, where they reside. Born in Pascoag, he was the son of the late Jerome and Anna (Farrell) Howard.

Bud graduated from Burrillville High School. He worked as an auto mechanic at the former Midway Auto in Harrisville and later for the Burrillville DPW for 21 years, retiring as Foreman. He was a member of the Harrisville Fire Department for 35 years and served his country in the US Coast Guard from 1956 to 1960.

He leaves behind his son, James A. Howard, Sr. and his wife Margaret of Harrisville; his daughter, Judith A. Baker and her husband William of Chesapeake, VA; four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three great grandchildren as well as his sister, Mary I. Boucher.

Bud's funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 9 AM from the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 183 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Douglas Center Cemetery, 7 Main St., Douglas, MA. Calling hours will be Monday, June 2 from 5 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Harrisville Fire Dept. Hose Company # 1, 201 Callahan School St., Harrisville, RI 02830
