JEROME CLAIR Obituary

CLAIR--Jerome Leonard, age 100, of North Hills, NY, passed away on November 13, 2022 surrounded by family. Jerry was born in Philadelphia to Pauline and David Clair on July 22, 1922. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII and after the war he attended NYU's School of Commerce and graduated in 1946 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Jerry worked as an entrepreneur for more than 60 years in building Venus Trimming & Binding into a highly successful textile business. A beloved husband, parent, grandparent, and great-grand- parent, he is survived by his wife Betta and children Wendy, Stanley and Patti, step children Lori and Jonathan, and more than 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Sherry and son, Richard. He will forever be remembered for his keen sense of humor, impeccable taste in art, his respect for his Jewish faith, his love of baseball and the stock market, and his "eye of the tiger" work ethic. Most importantly, his great-grandchildren think he is the funniest great-grandfather in the world!
