Jerome Cure

Jerome Cure 66 of Lakehurst, died Wednesday January 14, 2026 at Arista Care, Whiting. Born in Portsmouth, VA he moved to New Jersey and resided in the Ocean County area before moving to Lakehurst 5 years ago. He served in the Navy from 1977-1981 and worked as a truck driver for many years before his passing. Jerome found peace in music from a young age, even playing in his own band. He was an avid drummer and bassist and always had his instruments close at hand. The only thing he loved more than music was his family, especially his children who he raised and adored. He is predeceased by his parents, Edward & Barbara Cure, and granddaughter, Lamiyah . Surviving are his sons, Jerome Cure Jr., Kenny Heiser, daughters, Angela Cure Jordan and Betty Torres, brothers, Mark, Antionio, and Robert Cure, sisters, Lavoria Cure and Barbara Hernandez, and 3 grandchildren, Jocelyn, Ani'as, and Jerome III. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity.
