He is survived by his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Davis, whom he married July 25, 1980.
Also surviving are his son, Kevin Davis of Alexandria, VA; his step-daughters, Diane (Mike) McCarthy of Huntington and Karin (Rick) Davies of Lexington, KY; and his grandsons, Jamison and Evan McCarthy and Justin Davies; and his special pup Hazel.
He was preceded in death by brothers Boyd Swiger and Wayne Swiger; and a special uncle and aunt, Richard and Pearl Frederick.
Jerry worked for CNG Transmission for over 30 years in the civil engineering department. He was a pilot and enjoyed working on his plane. Jerry also enjoyed traveling and eating out.
Above all, he was a loving husband, dad, and grandfather.
A private graveside service will be held for the family.
