Jerome Dumas, Sr., 62, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away on August 8, 2024, at River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah at 8:48 a.m.
Jerome was born February 14, 1962, in Paris, TN, the son of Woodson Dumas, Jr. and Shirley Mae Duckworth Overstreet.
Jerome was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the National Guard. He was formerly employed in Customer Service for Goodwill Industries in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Jerome was a fun-loving, humorous person who was known for being a jokester. However, he did not joke when it came to his relationship with the Lord. He read his bible faithfully and loved listening to gospel music. Other hobbies included art and karate, especially playing with his Nunchucks. Jerome dearly loved his family and doted on his grandchildren.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his Daughter, Takisha Dumas of Mayfield, KY; two Sons, Jerome Dumas, Jr. of Paducah, KY and Demitrius (Chelsey) Dumas of LaCenter, KY; three Granddaughters, Zoey Reeves, of Mayfield, KY, Amya Dumas and Brooklyn Dumas; one sister, Peggy Webb, all of Paducah, KY; one uncle, Rudell Duckworth of Paducah, KY; and one Aunt, Peggy Duckworth of Clarksville, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a special friend, Yolanda Jones of Paducah.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Thelma Ann Dumas and Lottie Michelle Dumas.
At the request of Jerome Dumas Sr. and the family, there will be no visitation or services.
