Jerome “Ronnie” Jackson

Jerome Jackson a native of Reynolds, Georgia born to the parents of the late Roshell Jackson, Sr. and the late Jeanette Ingram Jackson. He attended the public schools  of Taylor County and graduated from the historic R. L. McDougald High School in 1965. He also attended Fort Valley State College until he enlisted in the US Air Force during the Vietnam war.

Jerome was not just a man of words but action. He lived his life uplifting others and the people around him , especially the children of Las Vegas. He created many non - profit organization - People in America’s Natural Growing Environment - PiAnge Development Corporation - built on his unwavering belief that every child deserves opportunity, exposure, and hope. 

Jerome loved his mother and the  family business inspired him to design a plan to help build his mother’s cosmetology hair salon. So, he became a cosmetologist.

Jerome enjoyed life and had many adventures. He became a champion race car driver. Hollywood also called but, but at the time he had moved on to a higher calling a meeting of the mind, to seek a different path in the GUNG FU, a form of training in an ancient wisdom dating back to the Shan-Lin temple. His learning from grand master Arthur Sikes became  a part of his world and his family. In his desire to share the path that he was following with others, he became the owner and operator of the North American Self-Defense Association, Inc.

Jerome often would say he learned his work ethic from his father - and he embodied that lesson everyday. For thirty years he worked with the international Union of Operating Engineers, Local Union #12. But his drive and determination led him to blaze his own trail, founding Jerome Trucking Company and North American Underground Construction Company. He preformed the groundwork for many of the buildings that make up of the skyline of Las Vegas.

Through all of his accomplishments, one thing remained constant - his deep love for his family. Jerome was a devoted husband to his beloved wife PiAnge B. Jackson, and his love for her was profound, steadfast and true.

Jerome’s life reminds us that greatness is not measured only by titles or wealth, but by the lives we touch, the hearts we uplift, and the legacy we leave behind. His spirit will live forever- in the laughter of the children he inspired, in the community he helped build, and in the hearts of those who loved him.

Though we grieve his passing we also celebrate a life lived fully and purposefully - a life that continues to ripple through generations, Jerome Jackson may have departed from this earth, but his light , his kindness, and vision will forever remain.

Jerome is survived by his wife PiAnge B. Jackson, Son Asad (Lenora) Ali, three brothers Roshell Jackson, Jr. of Reynolds, Ga, Frank Vinson ( Charlene) Jackson and Donald Hugh Jackson both of Fort Valley, Ga, two sisters: Sherenette Jackson of Fort Valley, Ga, Beradette (Isaac IV) Seals of Decatur, Ga; one grandson Malik Ali of Las Vegas, NV; two great  granddaughters: Alaia Yvette Ali and Isra Claude Ali of Las Vegas, NV, one aunt Cecilia ( Arthur) Miller; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends.
