Dear Paul and family,
Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. From Paul over the years, Jerry sounded like a wonderful husband and father as well as I'm sure a friend to those he met.

Monica and family:
Monica, Phil and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family at this time. I also would like to add that I have wonderful memories of the stories that Jerry and my dad (Robley)shared when they worked together in Thief River Falls and Mud Lake NWR (Agazzi). Listening to both dad and Jerry, I enjoying hearing "both sides of the story". There was probably a little embellishment each time I heard the stories, but I loved it! My mom considered you a very special friend and now I'm lucky to have Patty as a very special friend as well. That made both of my folks very happy! Dad had a lot of admiration and respect for Jerry and the friendships that were made in those early years continued as time passed. I'm sure they're catching up on old times now! God's blessings to you and your family and may he bring peace and comfort to your heart! Love, Phil and Linda (Hunt) Ernst

Hi Grampa,
I remember...the airplane rides, fishing back by North Star, skating on the pond, the plate of wild game meat at Thanksgivings, canoeing on the Mississippi, diving off the end of the dock, running to the outhouse at Namakan--in the dark with just a flashlight, bathing in the cold lake water, the smell of the woodburning stove downstairs, t.v. reception that was always snowy, learning an appreciation for the outdoors and hunting from you, the countless stories you told at all the holiday and family celebrations, and let's not forget the dog I could never get enough of! These are just a few of the wonderful memories I have Grampa, and I will be sure to pass them on to my children. I'll do my best to keep your beautiful wife busy, she's going to miss a lot. In the meantime, you play with Rex, Great Gramma Liemandt, Gramma Becker and I will play with Wyatt--someday we'll all play together. Thank you, I will miss you and I love you--Your Granddaughter
