Dear Cousins ~

My heart goes out to you. It's times like this when it's hard to be far away from our home turf. Your mom was delightful, and one-of-a-kind. Of all our aunts, she alone was "Auntie"...I think that was a testament to her love of life, perhaps her kinship with "Auntie Mame." May her beauty, zest and unsinkableness live on in you. I know that heaven has just become a livelier place! Love, Christine (Liemandt) Maddux

Dear Patti, Barb, Bob and Jim,

My thoughts and prayers will be with you tomorrow at the funeral of your mother. I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt June: listening to her and Dad harmonize tunes from yesteryear, drinking brandy slushes at the lake, giving me her Dutch oven when I moved to Los Angeles and later grandma's cookie jar when I told her my new kitchen was yellow. There wasn't a party that Aunt June didn't make better with her presence and infectious laugh. Just last Sept. in LA, she was regaling us with memories of her crazy trip to California years ago. I will treasure that moment always and will miss her dearly.

Love,

Ann and family

Dear B.J., Patti, and family,

Just a note to let you know Hoot and I are thinking about ya'll. It was a pleasure to know June and I'll always remember what a wonderful time she had here in Savannah in 1999 on Saint Patrick's Day. She was the life of the party at the parade. She was a terrific lady!

Love,

Karen
