A few thoughts of Dr. Mann...
I worked for him in the 80s, I graduated in 89 from Dr. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and Dr. Mann got me associated with Dr. Michael Hriljac where I worked for only one year before my brain surgery...
Dr. Mann always thought the best of his family...always talked about his beautiful wife, Marilyn , and really loved his children-David, Eric, and Ellyn ...
I remember Ellyn´s bat mitzvah at the Hamilton... but He was so proud of ALL his children.
"Never stopped talking about them."
Cheesecake -he really loved his cheesecake and my mom made him one...... surprise!
I remember:
the hot dog stand next door to his office on Euclid Avenue
Dr. Carolyn Ilnicki-chiropractor
Saucony shoes
Blue Cross Blue Shield supplemental insurance
Knee surgery book -I still have
Granddaughter went to Michigan State as I did at the College of Natural Science......(I received a degree in physiology. )...It´s really a small world.
And recently, he helped me a great deal with State Farm and the trouble I had collecting any monies to me from a flooding situation.
Always extremely helpful to me and responded via email " almost immediately"
I never forgot him on his birthday, especially.
"God heals and
Doctor takes the fee"......was one of his favorite sayings. So I embroidered it for him and he returned it to me recently. -It now is hanging on the wall in my office-room at home.
I remember ...
His office with fireplace and black (dark) leather couch
I do remember all these things, but most of all I remember how kind he was to me and to everyone really. The world could use more
" Dr. Manns" in it - his smile, his willingness to share his knowledge with me... he taught me so many things in podiatry ... and how to run an office ,and really opened the door for me to work with Dr.Hriljac. I hope he knows how much I appreciated all he has done for me.
I will never forget him as long as I live.
And I will continue to pray for him.
I will miss him.
With deepest sympathy,
Paulette Zimm,DPM

We have lived across the street from Jerry and Marilyn for 17 yrs and every time we would see him he would always acknowledge us and ask how us how we are all doing. We will truly miss him!
