Jerome Ernest "Jerry" Peterson

Age 82, of Mendota Heights.
Jerry was born November 3, 1942, in Thief River Falls, Minnesota and joined our Lord and Savior on October 8, 2025.
He is preceded in death by parents Ernest and Frances Peterson, brother Gary Peterson, and brother-in-law Richard Muller. He is survived by Beverly, wife of 60 years, daughter Linda (Anthony) Schenk, granddaughter Emma (Brytton) DeRoode-George, grandson Theodore Jerome DeRoode, brother James Peterson, sister Deborah Muller, niece Erika Muller, and nephew Gregory Muller.
Jerry served in the Army in Germany starting in 1960. He served as an SP4 earning Expert Marksman status, and was honorably discharged in 1963.
Jerry was employed by Whirlpool for 23 years, co-owner of JJ Vanderson, owner of PCB Services, and worked for Cardinal Health. He was also involved in the Builder's Association of the Twin Cities and the Builder's Outreach Foundation. He also served as a judge for many years for the Parade of Homes.
He was a member of Saga Klubben and Norske Torske Klubben clubs, and chairman and long-term committee member of the Festival of Nations.
Jerry helped organize the Whirlpool and BATC golf tournaments. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in Alaska. He was an active member of the St. James Lutheran Church evangelism program and stewardship committee.
Funeral Service 11 AM Monday, October 13th at Saint James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 460 West Annapolis St., West St. Paul. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
