Jerome Stanley "Jerry" Schrager, born 5/19/1928, passed peacefully on April 12th, 2023, in Franklin, NJ surrounded by loving family members.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Jerry lived in Northern New Jersey for most of his adult life. He was a graduate of Midwood High School, U Mass Lowell and NYU with a Masters in Chemical Engineering. After a successful career in the engineering field, Jerry spent many years as an engineering consultant designing factories for Foster Wheeler in Summit, NJ.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Steil Schrager, of 25 years and was pre-deceased by his wife, Sandra Schrager of blessed memory.
Father of Mindy (Stanley) Wachtenheim of Miami Beach, FL, Bonnie (Jeffrey) Padulsky of Miami Beach, FL, Amy Schrager of Lake Hiawatha, NJ, Dr. Harry Schrager (Dr. Lynn Halpern) of Chestnut Hill, MA, Eric (Debbie) Schrager of Livingston, NJ, Grandfather of Arielle (Nick) Werner, Denille (Jordan) Sachs, Remi (Steven) Feld, Zachary Padulsky, Samy Schrager, Sydney Schrager, and Andrew Schrager.
Jerry was the step-father to Michelle (Ed) Specht, Mark Steil and Larry Steil, of blessed memory.
Graveside funeral will be held on Friday, April 14th, 2023 at 1:30pm at Riverside Cemetery, 12 Market St, Saddle Brook, NJ.
