Joel Schrager Obituary
Joel R. Schrager, of Terryville, CT, passed away on April 4, 2025, at his home, after enjoying a ride in his Buggy.
Joel was born March 16, 1957, in Waterbury, son of the late Eldred and Joy Schrager. He was the beloved husband to Holly (Sanford) for 46 years.
Joel was a tool maker by trade and loved to tinker on projects at home and in his garage. He often drove his Buggy around town, as that was something he loved to do. Joel spent time in the yard, fixing it up every season, and time at the Good News Thrift Shop, as he found enjoyment in helping people, especially as an active member of the Plymouth Congregational Church. He served the community with his kindness and was a member of the Masons, Lodge #11, Litchfield.
Joel is missed by his wife, Holly, his daughter, Melissa Schrager and her husband Joseph Kidwell, all of Terryville, his brothers, Roger (Karen) of Torrington, Wayne (Juvy) of Delaware, Robin (Star) of Torrington, his brothers-in-law, Keith and Glen Sanford, stepsisters, Tammie Kennedy and Lisa Hill, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom he cared deeply for.
A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2025, at the Plymouth Congregational Church at 11am. A. Cassidy's Cremation Service has the honor of caring for Joel and his family.

A sad farewell to my cousin Joel. I alway remember your happy go lucky attitude. To all the fun times at Grandpa´s pond and the golf course. Sympathies to all you brothers, Holly and Melissa. RIP dear cousin.
