Jerome "Jerry" Tabatt

Jerome "Jerry" Tabatt, age 76, a resident of Bay County, Florida, was born on September 15, 1949, in Carrington, North Dakota. Jerry passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025.

Jerry will be remembered for being a loving husband, Father, Grandfather, friend, and community servant. He retired as a meteorologist with the United States Air Force in 1988 at Tyndall Air Force Base. After retirement he became an on air meteorologist at WMBB News Channel 13 for 29.5 years and retired as Chief Meteorologist in 2018. Jerry participated in many community and charitable organizations, including Panhandle Crime Stoppers, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Warrior Beach Retreat, Bay County Chamber of Commerce, and Bay County Veteran's Council. He most recently created and hosted "Our Military", a half hour radio show focusing on the military.

Jerry is predeceased in death by his parents, Laurence and Pauline Tabatt; wife of 38 years, Norma L. Tabatt; sister, Rosella Tabatt; and grandson, John Greenlee. He is survived by sisters Josephine, Darlene, Virginia, Lorain, Geraldine; brother, Robert; children, Lorraine "Lorrie" Jorgensen, Lisa Cox, Jennifer Streets, Lynette "Lyn" Varney, Laurie Houston, Douglas Tabatt, and Lorin Jorgensen; several nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held October 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 2403 Harrison Avenue, Panama City, Florida 32405. The Family will receive visitors on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
