Jerome P. "Jerry" Toporek

Jerome P. Toporek, 60, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Jerome, or "Jerry" as he liked to be addressed, was born to the late Gregory W. and Carol L. Toporek, on August 29, 1963, in Dearborn, Michigan. After graduating from high school, he entered military service with the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman Class A. Following his military service with the Navy, he went on to further his education at Eastern Michigan University, ultimately earning a Masters' degree, and eventually went on to follow a career in healthcare as a Registered Nurse. During his time in the healthcare profession, he also served for a time as a Hospital Emergency Room Care Director. He was dedicated to caring for the health and well being of people in need. While working on the East Coast of Florida, Jerry met and fell in love with his wife to be, Rosemary, who worked in the same hospital he worked for at the time. They married and would eventually move to Punta Gorda to enjoy their new lives together on the West Coast.
Jerry enjoyed a range of life's activities, from playing Cribbage, Golfing, Fly Fishing, and Watercolor Painting, to Tai Chi, Meditating, Writing, Journaling, Reading, and Poetry. He enjoyed these and other activities with his beloved wife and friends.
He is survived be his loving wife, Rosemary Toporek, and three brothers; Gregory "Skip", Chuck and Doug.
No public services are scheduled for Jerry at this date and time.
