A Jeronimo le sobreviven su querida esposa, Cayetana Bahena; hijos Maria Antonia Bahena, Felipe Baena y su cónyuge Maria Juarez, Jose Antonio Bahena y su cónyuge Joaquina Bahena, Maria Ediberta Melendez y su cónyuge Alejandro Melendez; 11 nietos Jesus Eduardo Bahena y su cónyuge Gisela Bahena, Daniel Baena, Junior Baena, Dianna Baena, Yaire Bahena, Jacquelyn Bahena, Antonio Bahena, Marlene Melendez, Jennifer Melendez, Alejandro Melendez, Miguel Melendez y muchos amigos y familia que lo extrañarán. Llego a los Estados Unidos a una joven edad y trabajo en jardinería y construcción durante mucho años para poder proveer para su esposa y hijos. Conoció a su esposa en su pueblo y se casaron a temprana edad. Construyeron un feliz matrimonio de mas de 50 años.
El siempre disfruto pasar tiempo afuera en la naturaleza, le gustaba ir a caminar y pasar tiempo con su familia. Fue un hombre trabajador, de bien, y responsable. Le gustaba ser alegre, compartir con quien estaba en su alrededor, y siempre lucho por mejorarse. En sus tiempos difíciles de salud el peleó con mucha fuerza y en varias ocasiones triunfo. Hasta su ultimo momento el nunca se rindio.
