Jerry Ander Barber, III, fondly known as Andy, passed away peacefully at his home on February 18, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on December 5, 1974, in Moore County, North Carolina, he touched the lives of many during his time on this earth.
For a decade, Andy dedicated his career to working with Perdue, where he was known for his hard work and commitment. His passions extended beyond his professional life; he found joy in fishing, tinkering with tractors, and following the thrilling antics of WWE wrestling. These simple pleasures brought him happiness and were often shared with loved ones.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Melissa Duncan Barber, and their two children, Taylor and Joshua Barber, who were his pride and joy. Andy's mother, Clara Ritter Barber, and sister, Candice Sanders, also cherish his memory, along with his best friend, Bryon Williamson. Additionally, he leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will carry his spirit with them.
Andy was preceded in death by his father, Richard Barber and sister Stacy Scott. His legacy will be remembered through the bonds he formed and the love he shared with all who knew him.
A graveside service to honor Andy’s life will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at Summer Hill Baptist Church, located at 663 Summer Hill Church Rd, Carthage, NC 28327. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate the meaningful life he led.
