Jerry S Arrington

Jerry Arrington, 72, of Palatka passed away Friday, November 7, 2025 at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital following a brief illness.
Jerry was a lifelong resident of Palatka, born in the Glendale Hospital in Palatka, and was a 1971 graduate of the Palatka South High School. He was a professional musician and had played lead guitar for Quickdraw, as a founding member; Strange Brew; Michael Bo Griner; some with Lynard Skynard; and with other bands and venues all over the South. One of his highlights was when he was playing with Michael Bo Griner in Branson, Missouri and they won a national championship. He also enjoyed fishing and he made his own lures. He was a kind man who would give you the shirt off his back, and he loved animals.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Ruby Arrington; a brother, Johnny Arrington; and a sister, Louise Harper.
Surviving are his life partner, Pam Paschall; a daughter, Sheena Arrington; a brother, Jackie Arrington (Marilyn); two sisters, Gail Higgins and Theda McLeod (Charles); a granddaughter, Shea; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry's celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka. His bandmate from Strange Brew, Dan Mitchell, will be speaking. In honor and celebration of Jerry's life, a Video Tribute will be shown. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
