Jerry Wayne Ayscue, Sr., 67, of Henderson, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Jerry was born on June 9, 1957 to the late Charles Hamilton and Ava Stevenson Ayscue.
Jerry is survived by his wife of forty-two years, Judy Roberson Ayscue; his children, Melissa Ann Montague (Joe), Jerry Wayne Ayscue Jr. (Angie), and Ryan Ayscue (Pricilla); his sister, Cheryl Eaves (Mike); step-children, Allan Lassiter (Kristie) and Tammy Penny (Todd); sixteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; his niece, Jordan Holmes (Brian); his nephew, Brandon Eaves (Amanda); and one great-nephew Colt Holmes.
Jerry was a faithful member of Liberty Christian Church in Henderson. He was an active member of Epsom Volunteer Fire and Rescue until his health no longer allowed. He worked for over 30 years at Vulcan Materials Company. Jerry loved animals and was known for having chickens, goats and peacocks. He loved his canine companion Buddy. Jerry enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, he especially loved to sing George Jones songs. He loved his family and friends, and he will be missed tremendously.
Family will receive friends and visitors on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Liberty Christian Church, 7818 NC-39 Hwy in Henderson and at other times at the home of Jerry and Judy. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00am at Liberty Christian Church and will be officiated by Rev. Burwell Stark. Burial will follow after the service at Liberty Christian Church Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services of Louisburg.
