KINSTON- Ricky Hartwell Ayscue, 66, of Rose Vista Lane, died Monday, September 29, 2025. Born February 17, 1959 in Vance County, he was the son of the late Mattie Hedgepeth Edwards and Williard Hartwell Ayscue. Ricky worked in the construction industry and was a member of the North Carolina National Guard. He loved fishing, visiting family, and listening to music. He was an excellent cook and was an active participant in religious activities at Rose Vista Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of J.M. White Funeral Home by Rev. Henry Abbott.
Ricky is survived by his sister, Allison A. Jenkins and husband, Tony of Lake Gaston; nephew, Jacob Shearin and wife Katelynn; great-niece, Allie Marie Shearin; nephew, Steven Ayscue and wife Crystal Ayscue; great-nephew, Logan Ayscue; and nephew, Tyler Wiggins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Donna Ayscue and Gail Wiggins.
The family will receive friends prior to service from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM on Sunday at J.M. White Funeral Home.
