Jerry Malcolm Blair, 72, passed away on January 31, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, curiosity, and faith. Born on March 11, 1953, to Malcolm and Rose Blair, Jerry lived a life defined by a love for learning and a devotion to his family.

A patriot and a man of discipline, Jerry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Following his service, he channeled his discipline and intellect into a lifelong pursuit of knowledge. He was a natural teacher with a passion for language studies and religious studies, always eager to share what he learned with others.

Jerry was a man of many interests who found joy in the simple and the profound alike. He was an avid reader and was happiest when engaging his mind and heart. Whether he was bird watching in nature, caring for animals, playing games and watching movies with family, or studying the complexities of language, Jerry approached life with enthusiasm. A devout member of the Catholic faith, he was also a generous philanthropist, quietly dedicated to helping others.

Above all, Jerry cherished his time with his family. He is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Vivian Blair, as well as his parents, Malcolm and Rose Blair.

Jerry's memory will be kept alive by his surviving family: his children, Jared Blair, Heather Gilot, and Christopher Blair; his beloved grandsons, Luca Stevenson, Rylan Grattan, Jack Stevenson, and Nico Joseph; and his siblings, Louis Blair, Steven Blair, Corrine Miller, and Mark Blair.

He will be deeply missed by those who knew him for his wisdom, his generosity, and his kind spirit.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary (2350 E. 1300 S., Salt Lake City, Utah) to visit and enjoy light refreshments.
