Jerry Buchanan Obituary
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lester Buchanan and Mary Lucille Buchanan; his brother, Ronald Buchanan; 2 nephews, Ronnie Buchanan and Steve Buchanan; and grandson, Crew Buchanan. Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Robbie Hindman Buchanan; and 2 sons, Jerry Robert Buchanan Jr. (Maegan), Thompson Station, TN, and Michael Buchanan (Amanda) Murfreesboro, TN; two granddaughters, Coast Buchanan, and Madelyn Buchanan; 4 grandsons, Cade Buchanan, Celleck Buchanan, Gabe Buchanan, and Corbin Buchanan.
Mr. Buchanan went to West High School (when it was a High School). After serving 2 tours in the United States Air Force he had multiple jobs including Ford Glass Plant but ended his career with 26 years in the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier in Nashville, TN, He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of John B. Garrett Masonic Lodge and Al Menah Shrine Temple.
He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, and friend. He will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. Paul Gann on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment with Military Honors will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 615-331-1952.

Deepest sympathy to Robbie and Jerry's family. We will miss Jerry at the ""3rd Monday Lunchs". He could always enhance our memory recalls of days gone by. Rest in peace friend.

Jerry was a year ahead of me at West End HS. I remember him as a Bluejay basketball player of great heart. May his family treasure the precious memories of a life well lived.
