Jerry L. Busch

BESSEMER, Mich. – Jerry L. Busch, 76, of Bessemer, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
Jerry was born on May 17, 1946, in Ironwood, a son of John and Dorothy (Erickson) Busch. He attended A.D. Johnston High School in Bessemer and graduated in 1964.
In 1966, Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country for more than 20 years. He retired in 1986 as a senior chief petty officer.
Jerry enjoyed golfing in his later years and having a cup of coffee with his friends at the golf course. Jerry was proud of his family and treasured the time he spent watching and supporting his great-nieces and great-nephews sporting events.
Jerry is survived by a brother, John (Jackie), Bessemer; a sister, Sandie Banovich, of Nevada; his sister-in-law, Allene Busch, of Nevada; many nieces and nephews, including Benjamin (Amity) Busch, Bessemer, and Jeremy (Lisa) Busch, Wakefield; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, including Tyler, Leah, Aidan, Noah and Emily Busch; and numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Jim; and his brother-in-law, Randy Banovich.
The family is honoring his life in a private funeral service.
Interment and military rites will take place at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer, in the spring.
