Jerry Richard Butler Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026. He went home to be with God and all of his family that has passed over. Jerry was born May 26,1939 in Memphis, Tennessee. He served as a Marine for three years in the U. S. Marine Corps and was discharged with honor. He was a stone mason at the age of 25 and continued that work for fifty solid years. He built his own business being a stone mason with his two sons, Jerry Richard Butler Jr. and Gary Wayne Butler. Jerry was very well-known for his skills and was an extremely  hard worker who set an example for his children and grandchildren. He helped many people when they were in need; he had a huge heart for people. He loved his family and all his friends that he knew for many decades. He loved to fish and grew up on Spring River in Williford, Arkansas. Jerry loved his children and grandchildren so very much; he loved seeing all of them succeed and accomplish good things in their lives.

Jerry's living family includes his children: daughter, Arlene Ann Reese of Round Rock, Texas; his son, Jerry Richard Butler Jr. and his daughter-in-law, Kathy Butler, of Batesville, Arkansas; his daughter, Tammy Lynn Russell of Cotter, Arkansas; his son, Gary Wayne Butler of Ash Flat, Arkansas; and daughter, Cathrine Ann Butler of Austin, Texas. Jerry has 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great- grandson. He loved every single one and cherished all the love and memories he made with them. Jerry has one living sister, Irene McClintock, of Williford, Arkansas.

He has joined his parents, Clarence Butler and Ora Butler, and his siblings that have passed: sister, Christine Thattin, sister, Mary Sue Smith, sister, Ruth Smith, and brother, James Butler.

"Jerry, our amazing father, is now with the Lord in peace and harmony with his family and all his friends that passed before him; he has joined them all and sits at a beautiful lake looking at the beautiful scenery with a fishing pole in hand and a big smile on his face. He is happy and sending all of us his love and protection from heaven.  Amen."
