Blue Springs—Jerry Russell Chadwick Sr. passed away June 28, 2025 at his home in Blue Springs at the age of 75. He was born August 24, 1949, in Crossett, Arkansas to Aubrey and Reba Glover Chadwick. Jerry primarily grew up in Monroe, Louisiana. He worked as a welder in the construction industry and through his job, he met his wife Barbara, while working in Florida. They married in 1972. Jerry and Barbara treasured the 44 years they spent together before her passing on April 12, 2016.
Jerry leaves behind two children, Jerry Chadwick Jr. and his wife, Michelle, and Jennifer Mathis and her husband, Richard, all of Blue Springs; three grandsons, Trey, Tyler, and Toby and wife, Abby; his sister, Joy Lucas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Reba; his wife, Barbara; and a brother, Aubrey.
Jerry’s family will honor his memory with a memorial service at a later date.
