He was born on November 23, 1943, in Fort Lupton, Colorado to the late Henry Edward Conover Edna Weaver Merrill.
He is survived by his son, Jerry Scott (Kelly) of Lavinia; daughter, Robin Sweat (Jay) of Georgia; sister, June Swicord of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Tyler Paul (Jordan) of South Carolina and Conner Sweat of Louisiana; and friends, Mike Mullins and Amy Davis.
