Jerry Dan Corn, age 76 of Murray County and the Nickelsville Community, died November 5 at his residence.
Jerry was born in Etowah, Tennessee, on January 17, 1947, son of the late Rupert and Mabel Corn. He was preceded in death by a brothers, Rondal Dale Corn, G.B. Corn, and a sister, Betty Nivens.
Jerry was employed locally in the carpet and textile industry. He worked for World Carpet for 24 years and later for 24 years for Mannington as a manufacturing manager. He was a Viet Nam veteran of the United States Army.
Jerry is survived by two sons, Dustin Corn and his wife Misty; Dereck Corn and his wife, Savannah, all of Calhoun; one brother, Teddy Corn, and four sisters, Sherry Bowman, Sylvia Gallman, Norma White, and Clara LaFrance; three grandchildren, Katelyn, Kelcie, Urijah, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 8 at Coghill Baptist Church Cemetery near Etowah, Tennessee, with the Reverend Joe Hatcher officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 7 at the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home.
