Jerry Wilcox Creeden, 63, of West Seattle, Washington, passed away peacefully from complications of meningioma in Seattle on August 21, 2024.
Jerry was born November 27, 1960 at Homestead Air Force Base in Homestead, Florida. He was raised on Lake Morton in Kent, Washington and eventually moved to West Seattle to raise his two daughters and be near his parents. After graduating from Kent-Meridian High School he spent four years in the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. Ranger. After leaving the Navy he became a skilled Union Journeyman Carpenter. Jerry took great pride in his work, spending his final years employed by the Seattle School District. His dedication to his craft impacted many lives, not only through the repair of classrooms but also by leaving behind a lasting legacy of hard work and commitment.
Beyond his professional life, Jerry had a passion for old cars and could often be found in his garage, tinkering on them. When he wasn't working on cars, he was out riding one of his beloved Harleys, embracing the freedom of the open road. Jerry also had a deep love for animals, a passion he passed on to his daughters. He cherished time spent at the dog park, where he and his loyal companions could enjoy the outdoors together.
However, his greatest joy in life was being a 'Girl Dad' to his two daughters Jasmine and Julianna. Jerry treasured the adventures they shared, from camping in Yellowstone and watching fireworks at Ocean Shores to enjoying the beaches of Hawaii and Belize. Whether exploring nature or relaxing by the ocean, these moments of travel and togetherness created some of his most cherished memories, filled with the beauty of the world and the warmth of family.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Jerry's sister, Heather Creeden, and his cousin, Jill Bentley, for their unwavering advocacy and support throughout his health battles. Additionally, a special thank you goes to his daughters, Jasmine and Julianna, who lovingly stepped into the role of caretakers. Their devotion and care were a true testament to the deep bond they shared with their father.
Jerry is survived by his loving daughters, Jasmine Kay Creeden of West Seattle, WA and Julianna Marie Creeden of Yakima, WA; his parents, Wilcox and Sharon Creeden of Pasadena, CA; and his sisters, Heather Creeden of Pasadena, CA and Coleen Creeden of San Pedro, Belize. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Details of a celebration of life will be updated when available.

I´m so sorry to hear of Jerry´s passing.
My last memory of Jerry was of him riding off on his Harley from Sharon & Will´s condo with my sister Jill on the back.
Jasmine & Julianna, you may have a void in your heart, but the memories of your "Girl Dad" dad will never fade. Embrace them when you´re down to perk up your day. I´ve heard of your epic trips to Yellowstone. How awesome!
My deepest thoughts are with the Creeden family.

Jerry was a passionate, fun, loving spirit who embraced life to the fullest. His love for nature and motorcycle rides was only matched by his courage and determination.
After battling meningioma and undergoing surgery, Jerry demonstrated a level of resilience and optimism that I have seldom seen in my 42 years of nursing. He fought harder than anyone I've ever witnessed, determined to regain his independence, And he did so with a smile on his face.
His passing leaves a profound void in our lives, but the memories of his strength, humor, and love will forever remain in our hearts.
Jerry, you will be deeply missed. Rest in peace, dear cousin .

Jasmine, Juliana, Heather, Colleen, Sharon and Willie, ......my deepest condolences on the loss of your dear Jerry. I so deeply wish the miles between us were fewer and that we would have had more time to see and spend time with each other. The memories I have of him are wonderful and dear to me. My first memory of Jerry was him pulling up in front of my house in Imperial Beach Ca. I believe it was 1980 or 1981. I had just finished my 4 years with the Navy and Jerry was a newly arrived Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment mechanic reporting to the USS Ranger. He was driving a bright red Triumph Spitfire convertible which he left with me when he deployed overseas for 6 months. Myself and all of my ex Navy buddies always enjoyed Jerry's company. He was proud of the important work he did aboard the Ranger and proud to be a Sailor. He represented the fighting spirit of the Navy and those who have gone before us to defend our freedom and democracy. He was a pleasure to have around and a valuable shipmate to those he served with. I have no doubt that the gates of heaven opened up early for Jerry.

I am so sorry to have lost dear Jerry, our fun, tall, dark cousin who looked & acted so much like our 4 Bentley brothers. Jazz & Julie, my heart goes out to you because it was obvious since your birth, hearing the stories from our beloved Aunt Phyllis & Sharon Kay, how devoted he was to both of you, & how many fun adventures he gave you. Not all kids can say that, so you have been blessed! It´s heartbreaking for you, Colleen, & Heather to have lost him so soon. I´m so grateful I got to know him again during visits to Seattle the past 20 years. Since his illness struck, Jill has often noted how hard he fought it & what a wonderful positive attitude he had about it. That´s a big lesson for all of us! Best wishes to all of you for treasured memories & for peace going forward! Love, Jan Bentley.
