Jerry Eugene Dodd

Jerry Eugene Dodd went to his heavenly home on Tuesday when Heaven's Gates opened wide to receive Jerry, age 69, of Resaca, Georgia, who passed away at his home. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Jerry Eugene Dodd was born February 24, 1956, to Harlen Eugene Dodd and Learnie Loucille Stanley Dodd in Calhoun, Georgia. Married January 8, 1976, to Vickey Lynn Holt Dodd. He was a retired professional driver with Seven Hills Trucking.

He is preceded in death by daughter Jennifer Miranda Dodd Morgan Dean (June 1, 2023), father, Harlen Eugene Dodd (2006), and mother, Learnie Loucille Stanley Dodd (2002).

He is survived by his wife, Vickey Lynn Holt Dodd, of the residence; two daughters and sons-in-law: Sarah Lynn Dodd Pasley of Rome, Georgia, Elizabeth Loucille Dodd Beard and Joshua Steven Beard of Resaca, Georgia and son-in-law Ricky Lamar Joshua Dean of Resaca, Georgia, grandchildren: Damien Chance Pasley, Darien Colbe Pasley, Jaelynn Willow Loucille Pasley, Landon Reese Pasley and Zaiden Drake Pasley all of Rome, Georgia; Madison Andromeda Beard and Emmily Anastasia Beard both of Resaca, Georgia; James Dakota Morgan and Skylee Miranda Aileen Morgan both of Calhoun, Georgia; great- grandchildren, Maylee Miranda Morgan, Oaklynn Rose Dailey, Ivey Rayne Meeler, sister Joan Dodd Fortenberry (Sam), mother-in-law Joan Cook Holt Warren Craig. Half-sisters Charlotte Marie Wallace (Alvin Horace Wallace), Delores Jean George ( Shannon George), half brothers Hubert Wayne Dodd, Mark Dodd, and Jerome Henly Dodd (Leah), step brothers Richard Beasley (Kristy) and Michael Majors (Melissa).

Until we meet again, Jerry. Thank you for sharing your heart and your life with us. You will be missed beyond measure.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Dodd will be cremated.
