Jerry William Green, 81, of Oakboro, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023, in Concord.
Jerry was born August 18, 1942, in South Carolina to the late William Loy Green and the late Christine Ann Smith Green.
He was also preceded in death by wife, Vickie Diane Wiggins Green.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm - 1:45pm, Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Mineral Springs Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 2:00pm at Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Oakboro officiated by Rev. Dr. Kinney Wallace. Burial will immediately follow at the Oakboro Cemetery at 1397 North Main Street, Oakboro.
Survivors include children, Lori Denise Clark of Monroe, NC, Tami (Rusty) Napier of Oakboro, NC, and William Chad (Holly) Green of Oakboro, NC; grandchildren, Brianna and Jesse Clark, Blake (Erin) Allen, Brandi and Brooklyn Napier, Cassidy and Cole Green, and Elijah and Tucker Whitley; great-grandchildren, Carmen Allen, Maci Allen, and Jake Allen; and siblings, Bobby Green and Jenoal Blackwelder.
Jerry enjoyed drag racing and his truck driving career. He raced horses, loved horses, and was heavily involved with the West Stanly Saddle Club.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
