Jerry Ford Guckenberg

Jerry Guckenberg, age 82 of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022. He was born on February 14, 1940 to the late Ford and Virginia (Butzloff) Guckenberg in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Jerry worked as a semi driver for many years, first for Roundy's and then with N and M Transfer, retiring in 2002. He owned and operated Richmond St. Pub for 17 years, from 1984 to 2001, where he made many friends. Jerry also enjoyed going up North to the cabin at Lake Hilbert as well as going to Dick and Joan's. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Diane, children; Barb (Jay) Freier, Dale (Linda) Guckenberg and Sandy (Tony) Omachinski, grandchildren; Jacob Nass, Stacey (Mike) Dodds, Mylie Guckenberg, Christopher Ulman and Katie Omachinski and great grandchildren; Kara, Arlene, Hunter, Sean, Connor, Hannah, Sophie and Brooklyn. Jerry is further survived by his cousins; Cathy Plath and Lorrie Davis, other relatives and friends, especially the Richmond St. family and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents, and his brother, Bob Guckenberg.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established by the family.
