Ronald Guckenberg Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" Guckenberg, 65

Ronald "Ronnie" Guckenberg, 65, passed away Feb. 1, 2026. Ronnie was born August 18, 1960, to Alice Ryerson and Robert Guckenberg. He had five brothers and two sisters. He was born at the family home in Olney Montana where he grew up.

In his teenage years, Ronnie worked in the Seeley Lake area building log homes before he began working for American Timber. He worked at American Timber for 30 years and was one of the few remaining workers that stayed until the day the mill's doors closed. Ron then went on to work for Northern Energy Propane.

In his free time he loved hunting, picking huckleberries and shaggy manes, spending time with friends and family, but most of all, fishing, especially for perch. In recent years he enjoyed spending time with his beloved English Lab, Dudley. Ronnie was always willing to help a friend and was the life of the party who enjoyed making everyone laugh, you always walked away with a smile. He was at home in the outdoors and was always up for an adventure.

Ronnie was one of eight siblings, with five brothers, Bobbie, Teddy, Mike, Joe and Tommy, and two sisters, Phyllis and Tracy. He raised 3 sons; Mick, Mike, and Matt, and he has 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his stepdad "Pops", his father Robert, and his brother Bobbie. Ronnie is survived by his loving mom Alice, his 6 remaining brothers and sisters, his sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many other loved ones and friends. He will always be thought of and greatly missed.

The family will hold a private celebration of life later this spring.
