Jerry Gunn Obituary

Jerry married his Central High School sweetheart, Mary Ann (Urban), in 1955. Together they enjoyed traveling, square dancing, bowling, and softball.
Jerry was born to and predeceased by Florence and Otis Gunn, siblings: Donald, Mary, Mable, Tommy, Robert and Ramona. He and two of his brothers, Tommy and Robert followed their father in the tradition of working for the Terminal Railroad. When Jerry retired in 1994 as a Locomotive Engineer, he was given the honor to drive the locomotive over the newly renovated Mac Arthur Bridge. He then worked part time for coffee and donuts for the St. Louis Auto Auction.
Jerry followed the St. Louis Cardinals faithfully. When his eyesight failed, he continued to listen to the games, and could give you an accurate recap of the outcome.
Devoted Father to: Barbara Gunn, David Gunn (Jacqueline), Terry Montgomery (Ernie), and Benjamin Gunn.
Fun loving Grandfather to: Phillip Thomas, Kayleigh Manis (Rick), Davy Gunn (deceased), Austin Montgomery, Jamie Hicks (Kaleb), Andrea Killoren (Dustin), and Kristina Gunn.
Loving Grandfather and pinkie holder to: Karleigh Manis and Karter Young.
Jerry's final wishes to be gifted to St. Louis University did not occur, so he will be cremated. In the summer, a celebration for all of Jerry's friends and family will be observed in his memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to American Parkinson Disease Association – Greater St. Louis Chapter, (www.apdaparkinson.org)
