Lummis - Hamilton Funeral HomeLaurie L. Miller, 64, of Quincy, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born September 7, 1960, in Quincy, Laurie was the daughter of Roland and Sandra Schmidt VanZandt. She married Jack Miller on August 1, 2002, in Quincy, and he survives.
Laurie was a 1978 graduate of Central High School and attended Blessing Nursing School. She worked as a truck driver for CRST out of Cedar Rapids, IA, and also waitressed at Baywatch, the Coach House in Quincy, and the Paloma Diner. She enjoyed playing Bingo and watching westerns, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her children, Crystal Adair of Quincy, Jayson Adair of Quincy, and Jenna Casey (Juston) of Quincy; two step sons, Jeremy and Nicholas Miller; her grandchildren, Jade Adair and Juston Casey Jr.; her siblings, Amy Sprenger (Denton) of Coatsburg, Charles VanZandt (Dawn) of Camp Point, and Justin VanZandt (Shauna) of Clayton; her mother-in-law, Carolyn Robbins of Fowler; her brother-in-law, Larry Robbins of Fowler; her sister-in-law, Susan Wheeler (Jeff) of Boone, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Jay VanZandt, Lesa Richmiller (David), and Troy VanZandt; her father-in-law, Raymond Gladfelder; and her stepfather-in-law, Lawrence Robbins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 21, at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Burial will follow at Graymount Cemetery, Coatsburg.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Graymount Cemetery and/or Blessing Cancer Center.
