Jerry Lee Harmon

Jerry Lee Harmon, age 77, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at St. Luke's Nursing Center in Carthage. He was born August 19, 1945, in Neosho, Missouri, the son of the late Eugene and Lois (Walker) Harmon. On June 25, 1967, Jerry married Helen Elizabeth Rush in Neosho, Missouri. She preceded him in death on April 9, 2015.
Jerry served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked at the Edgewood Drive-In and the Rush Jewelry Store, both in Neosho. He later went on to work as a foreman for the Gas Service Co., KPL, and MGE, for over 20 years, and where he would eventually retire. Jerry was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Neosho and served as an elder for many years.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Melinda (Daniel) Bohachick of Carl Junction, Missouri; Melissa (Geoffrey) Plant of Lowell, Arkansas; Michelle (Michael) DeSchene of Neosho, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Devin Deschene, Gregory Plant, Catherine Plant, Alexander Bohachick, and Elizabeth Bohachick.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Harmon.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at the Clark Funeral Home in Neosho. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church in Neosho. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at the Neosho Memorial Park Cemetery in Neosho.
