Franklin E. “Frankie” Harmon III, 70, of Clinton, South Carolina, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 18, 1954, he was the son of the late Frank and Eudora Harmon. A proud native of Clinton, Frankie was a 1973 graduate of Clinton High School and went on to earn his Mechanical Engineering degree from Clemson University in 1978. His lifelong love of Clemson was evident to all who knew him—he never missed a chance to cheer on his Tigers.
For many decades, Frankie was the owner and guiding force behind Harmon Construction Company. Known for his meticulous attention to detail, integrity, and craftsmanship, he built not just homes and buildings, but lasting relationships and a reputation for excellence throughout the community.
Frankie was a devoted husband, father, brother and grandfather. He shared 45 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sandy Campbell Harmon. Together, they raised three children: Chip Harmon (Beth Wilson), David Harmon (Tabitha), and SarahBeth Garrett (Pat).
He was also a proud Pop of his cherished grandchildren: Campbell and Ansley Harmon, Sydney, Olivia, Harmon and Caroline Garrett, Connor (Kayla) Wilson, Logan (Ty), Hadley and Leighton Williamson each of whom brought him endless happiness and pride.
Frankie is also survived by his sister, Susan Trepagnier (Karl) of Winder, Georgia, his mother and father-in-law, Silas and Willette Campbell of Clinton, and by many beloved brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Frankie’s legacy will live on through the family he loved the structures he built, and the many lives he touched.
