Jerry M. Jerome

Jerry M. "Tink" Jerome, 74, of Poplar, died Saturday, April 19, 2025, after a long battle with heart disease with family by his side at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.
He was born on October 8, 1950, in Superior, son of Emily and Joseph Jerome, Sr.
He grew up in Superior and graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1968. He lived in Poplar before moving to Northfield, MN. He moved back to Poplar after retiring.
Jerry worked as a bricklayer out of the International Union of Bricklayers and Craftworkers Local 1 MN/ND/SD for many years.
Some of his interests included hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, riding his Harley-Davidson, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers. However, his greatest love was spending time with his children and granddaughter, Maya. They were the light of his life.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Joseph Jerome Jr.
Survivors include his son, Michael Jerome, Faribault, MN; daughter, Jessica Jerome, and granddaughter, Maya, both of Springfield, MO; sisters, Carol (Tom) Sislo, Superior, and Louise Swenson, Blaine, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A time of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025, followed by a celebration of Jerry's life at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N. 34th Steet, Superior.
The burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Douglas County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
