Jerry Johnson Obituary
Born August 26, 1950, in Marlboro County, SC, Jerry was the son of the late Lonnie and Macie McColl Johnson. He was a devoted member of McColl Church of God and spent many years working in the manufacturing industry as well as for the Town of McColl.
Jerry enjoyed cheering for the USC Gamecocks and the Marlboro County Bulldogs, fishing, playing softball, and most of all, spending time with his family-especially his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Andy Johnson (Alicia Barnes) and Robert Johnson (Brooke); brothers, Shug Johnson and Thurman Johnson; grandchildren, Anastasia Woods, Matthew Johnson, Kaitlyn Johnson, Brittany Goins (Harley), Kaden Johnson; and twelve great-grandchildren, including 4 special great grandchildren, Elijah Norton, Robert Johnson, Camden "Doodle Bug" Johnson, and Neveah Freeman.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Randy Johnson, and brothers, James Johnson, Howard Johnson, Ardis Johnson, and Walker Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at McColl Church of God, officiated by Revs. Donald Deal and Jesse Williams. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at McColl Church of God.

Jerry, I am delighted to have had the pleasure of your presence in my life. You were an exemplary grandfather to Anna and the rest of the grandchildren; we could not have asked for a better role model.
