Jerry Jones Obituary

Mr. Jerry Thomas Jones, age fifty-eight, departed this life and peacefully entered into eternal rest Thursday, July 17, 2025 at his home in Rougemont, North Carolina. He was born in Person County October 5, 1966 to Irene Daye Jones and the late Errie Jones and was a member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church where he was an usher. He loved to greet members and welcome visitors as they entered the House of the Lord.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Jones.
He leaves to cherish precious memories, his wife, Michelle Jones of the home; two sons: Jervell Jones (Synthia) of Hampton, Virginia and Kynden Jones (Paige) of Greensboro, North Carolina; two granddaughters: Reign and Amelia; his mother, Irene Jones of the home; four sisters: Erica Lyons (Steven) and Erica Nicky Harris, both of Oxford, North Carolina, Pamela Jones of Pennsylvania and Esther Denise Mills (Ernie) of Butner, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Wytonia Yancey of Timberlake, North Carolina; brother-in-law, Harold Carrington of Alton, Virginia; three close friends who were like his brothers: Wallace Jones, Barry Outlaw and Robert Newman; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 1:00pm at the Siloam Missionary Baptist Church, 4688 Mount Harmony Church Road in Rougemont 27572, with the Reverend Willie Johnson, Pastor, providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Bass Family Cemetery, Circle B Farm Road, also in Rougemont.
Visitation will be Monday at Cunningham & Associates from 1:00pm to 6:00pm with the family present during the last hour from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. His body will lie in state at the church from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, one hour prior to the service.
At other times, the family will receive visitors at the home, 5701 Helena-Mount Moriah Road in Rougemont.
