Wharton Funeral Home - WhartonJerry Lee Kucera, 79, of Wharton TX, passed away on Tuesday October 7th, 2025. Jerry was born July 23rd, 1946, to Vit and Cecilla Brenk Kucera in Wharton Texas.
He was known for his garden and flowers he grew while keeping a immaculate yard. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his sons and grandson. He was always there to cheer the grandkids on their fair animals. He loved to pass out lifesaver mints to the grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David Kucera.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 28 years Stephanie Brod Shultz Kucera, Sons Shane and wife Stephanie and Keith and wife Brandi, stepson Shane Shultz, grandson Tyler Kucera and granddaughter Julianna Kucera. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Suzanne Kucera and nephews David Jr. and wife Inez Kucera and Jason Kucera.
Visitation will be Sunday October 12th, 2025, at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel at 5pm with a Rosary to follow at 7pm. A Mass will be Celebrated on Monday October 13th, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton Tx. at 10am followed by the Rite of Interment and burial at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tyler Kucera, David Kucera, Jason Kucera, John Luby, Shane Shultz and Counce Brod.
Funeral services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
